A Championship for All Mathematics Lovers
The Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championships is one of the most celebrated mathematics competitions in Malaysia, attracting participants from different regions of the country every year. Now in its 8th edition, it’s more than just a quest for medals — it's a celebration of the power of mathematics and its ability to unlock solutions to complex problems.
The championship aims to provide a unique platform for students to demonstrate their ability to work independently and find solutions to challenging mathematical problems, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and recognition for their achievements. Beyond competition, the championship fosters friendship and camaraderie among like-minded students, creating an environment where they can share their love for mathematics.
Where Every Student Can Shine
A key feature of the championship is its commitment to inclusivity. The competition is open to all primary, secondary, and pre-university students in Malaysia, regardless of their school type — government, private, international, or home school. This inclusivity extends to the test design, with questions tailored to different grade levels and presented in three languages (English, Malay, and Simplified Chinese) to ensure accessibility for all.
The competition is closely aligned with the Malaysian school syllabus, ensuring that participants do not need specialised training to excel. This makes it accessible to all students, regardless of their level of mathematical expertise.
